We currently have over eight acres of land dedicated to organic salad and vegetable production on Forty Hall Farm. Our market garden is run by our Head Grower Matthew and our other two Growers, Beth and Mary. The majority of our produce is sold locally through our veg bag scheme and in the Forty Hall Farm Shop, but we also sell at Holtwhites Bakery and through the Village Wholefood Shop. In addition, you can often find our salad and vegetables on the menu at the Nice Green Café in Forty Hall and at the Dugdale Centre cafe in Enfield Town.
We are always looking for volunteers to get involved in our market garden. We have regular volunteer mornings every Friday but we may be able to support volunteers at other times as well. If you’d like to get involved and to learn more about organic food growing, contact us or register to volunteer.
The market garden was set up as part of Garden Enfield, a project that promoted training and employment within horticulture and local food production in Enfield. We are very grateful to the Greater London Authority and the London Borough of Enfield for their support with the project.
