Final preparations are underway for the Farm’s annual Lambing Open Weekend, coming up on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd March 2014. The Farm will be open on both days from 11am – 4pm, with lots of fun for visitors of all ages.
As well as meeting our newborn lambs, there will be opportunities to meet and feed our other rare breed farm animals and to watch rural craft demonstrations, including willow weaving, spoon carving and charcoal making. There will also be Morris dancing (1pm each day), sheep shearing, arts and crafts for children, face painting, and lots of other activities, not to mention some scrumptious food stalls.
Due to the ongoing renovation work taking place in Forty Hall Park, car parking at Forty Hall is currently limited so we would encourage visitors to use public transport to visit the Farm if possible. If you are driving, there will be a shuttle bus running all day from Capel Manor Gardens, as well as additional parking available at Forty Hill School and Jesus Church (Saturday only).
Admission charges: Adults £3.00; Children £2.00; Children (3 yrs & under) free entry
