Excitement builds as Apple Day approaches!

The final preparations are well underway for this year’s Apple Day at Forty Hall Farm. We’ll be open from 10am – 4pm next Sunday 19th October, with a host of apple-related fun for all the family.

There’ll be apple bobbing and apple tasting, as well as opportunities to make your own apple juice and enter the Longest Peel competition. Local food stalls will be selling delicious goodies at our Farmers Market, including Glider Cider’s award-winning cider and Forty Hall Farm hot dogs and burgers.

Be amazed by Uncle Tacko’s Flea Circus and test your strength with the fairground Dom-Tink machine! Watch in wonder as the trees come alive with Gypsy Pyksy theatre, strike a jig with the Etcetera Morris Men, and enjoy a virtuoso performance from Enfield’s favourite ukulele band SOUP!

Visit the Forty Hall Vineyard, which has just celebrated its second harvest, and visit the Enfield Veg Co, stall to find out all about our new veg bag delivery scheme. Unidentified apples growing in your garden? Bring them along and we’ll help you identify it.

With sheep shearing, wool spinning and other rural craft demonstrations, as well as face-painting and arts activities for children.

Don’t forget your wellies!
