August Bank Holiday sees the return of the Enfield Food Festival, a celebration of the great produce made in the borough of Enfield and its neighbouring areas. Expect a bounty of good food, drink and & fun for all the family in the atmospheric setting of Forty Hall Farm! The Festival will run on both Sunday 28th August and Bank Holiday Monday 29th August, from 11am to 5pm both days.
Join us for inspiring talks, masterclasses and cooking demonstrations. Explore the working organic farm, complete with prize-winning rare breed animals, a market garden and orchard. Enjoy a tour and wine tastings in the Forty Hall vineyard, London’s only commercial organic vineyard.
Award-winning street food will be available from a raft of producers including Gourmet Goat (winners of the BBC Food and Farming Best Street Food Award 2016), local food heroes Holtwhites Bakery, and the urban cheesemakers, Wildes Cheese. We’ll also be welcoming Enfield’s oldest food-producing business Wrights, who have been producing flour and baking ingredients for almost 150 years. They’ll be bringing along a piece of their history too with their newly restored vintage Bedford delivery van!
For the children, there’ll be cooking classes and food-inspired craft activities with Anorak Magazine, who are bringing with them Arnold the Giant Ideas Generator! Plus the Farm’s Orchard will be getting fruity with bike-powered smoothies!
As if that isn’t enough, both adults and children can take part in our veg sculpture competition and the Great Enfield Bake Off, hosted by The Field Dames WI in aid of The North London Hospice, Chickenshed Theatre and Noah’s Ark. Will your Victoria Sponge take the biscuit?
