Easter Monday, 21st April 2014
11am – 4pm
Head to the Farm this Easter Monday to join in our giant Easter Bear Hunt!
This Easter, we are celebrating the arrival of some unusual animals to the Farm, thanks to a generous donation from the retailer John Lewis Partnership. The Farm has been given a large collection of animal sculptures, which featured in the Christmas window displays of John Lewis’s flagship store on Oxford Street. The sculptures include a turkey made of towels and a giant bear fashioned from furniture!
On Easter Monday, visitors will be given the chance to come and see these new unusual animals, on a special Easter bear hunt and sculpture trail.
Kate from the Farm explains: ‘As one of John Lewis’s community partners, we were very kindly given the animals to help us raise money for projects on the Farm, like our community orchard. We will be auctioning the largest piece, the brown bear, on eBay in coming weeks.’
‘In the meantime, it is 25 years since the publication of the classic children’s book ‘We’re Going On A Bear Hunt’, by Michael Rosen. We decided the arrival of our new animal sculptures, particularly the giant bear, is too good an opportunity to miss having our own bear hunt!’
The Farm will be open from 11am – 4pm on Easter Monday when it will host its bear hunt and sculpture trail.
Entry is £2 for adults and free for children.
