Saturday 11th April 2015, 8pm
Not content with the annual celebration of local music that is our Livestock Music Festival, we’re delighted to be launching a new monthly music night on the Farm, to be held on the second Saturday of every month.
Music from the Black Barn, as the name suggests, will see our beautiful Black Barn come alive with a host of musical styles to suit all tastes. First up, this Saturday 11th April, we’re starting with the blues.
In collaboration with St Harmonica’s Blues Club, our opening night will present one of the finest blues triple bills you could find anywhere.
Doc K’s Blues Band are just about the most experienced Chicago Blues Band in the country featuring Mad Dog Dave Barnes on slide and vocals, Mick Parker on drums with Simon Fowle on bass, Tim Hill now established on harmonica and vocals and a lead guitarist who cannot be killed by conventional weapons, the stunning Malcolm Hine.
The Blues Chapter are possibly the finest young Blues band around playing hot shot Texas-style Blues guaranteed to have you rocking. Left handed Jesse Thomas plays SRV and Joe Bonamassa like he is chilling out with fellow left handers Niol Sweeney and Lyndsay Craig providing the rhythm section. Southpaw Sky Wood is the frontman and vocalist while Jake Thomas plays keyboards with both hands. Terrific stuff.
At half time, between the two bands the immaculate Dan Nash gives us some of his acoustic set, but please don’t think of this as a support act, Dan is one of the best acoustic Bluesmen in London, this is a genuine triple billing…and all for just £5. And there’s a bar!
Join us from 8pm on Saturday 11th April. Forty Hall Farm, Forty Hill, Enfield EN2 9HA
