Saturday 10th June, 12 noon – 11pm
Following its successful launch last year, the Forty Hall Farm Beer and Blues Festival is back for 2017!
With two stages of some of the best rhythm and blues around, the Festival will include a line-up of local blues acts, as well special guests from further afield. There will be over 20 ales and cider on tap from local London producers, as well as delicious local street food. The full line-up will be confirmed very soon.
Children and families are very welcome to attend the festival but please note that this event is aimed at adults, so there will be very limited activities for children.
Advance tickets includes access to shuttle bus to and from Enfield Town and Enfield Chase train stations. Click here to buy tickets.
Every Thursday, Forty Hall Farm
From January 2017 onwards, Forty Hall Farm will be hosting a weekly Forest School, for little ones aged 18 months to 5 yrs. The School runs in our magical little woodland every Thursday.
Forest Schools encourage children to learn through playing outdoors and by engaging in activities like den building, tree climbing or using tools.
The school is run by Melissa Littlestone, a qualified Forest School Leader and a primary school teacher with more than 10 years’ experience in teaching.
From Thursday 5th January through to Thursday 9th February, we are offering taster drop-in sessions, which run from 10.30am – 12pm, and from 12.30pm – 2pm.
In March, the school will launch properly and booking will be required in five-week blocks. This is so that the children attending get to know each other and benefit from regular sessions.
For more information and to book to join one of the sessions, visit the Twiggles Explorers website
Our regular programme of one-day short courses is designed to provide the perfect introduction to a wide variety of countryside crafts and skills.
Led by experts and enthusiasts from both Capel Manor and outside of the college, the courses cover everything from rural crafts like hedge-laying, to useful skills like mushroom hunting and foraging.
Our courses usually begin in the spring and run throughout the year. We are still finalising our course programme for 2017 but below are this year's remaining courses:
All the courses will be held at Forty Hall Farm and most run from 10am – 4pm and cost £55 per person. This includes a delicious lunch, refreshments and all course materials. Tools will also be provided. Just bring yourself and your enthusiasm! Shorter half-day courses, like our mushroom walks, cost £40 per person and run from 10am - 1pm.
Tickets can be bought online via eventbrite. Click on the courses to find out more about each one.
