Village fete plans unveiled

This May, we’re delighted to be working in partnership with our friends at Forty Hall to host a new event for 2017 – the Forty Hall Village Fete. This free event for all the family will be held on Sunday 7th May 2017 from 11am – 5pm.

Situated in and around the Farm and Forty Hall’s gardens, the day will include children’s activities, a craft fair, Punch and Judy shows, bouncy castle, information stalls and fairground stalls, as well as folk dancing by cultural groups including Fiction Dance, Tanec Bulgarian Dance Group, Shpresa Albanian Dance Group, Ukrainian Dance Group and the Etcetera Morris Men. Bring a picnic or enjoy food from one of the local street food stalls.

There will also be tea and cake tent hosted by the Enfield Field Dames WI group, and a dog show hosted by Elmtree Pet Hotel, Training and Education. Bring your dog along to win prizes!

Keep an eye on our website and on Twitter @fortyhallfarm for more details as and when they’re confirmed.

Farm prepares for Lambing Weekend

Final preparations are underway here at Forty Hall Farm as we prepare to reopen for the spring and to show off our new lambs at our Lambing Weekend, this Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th March.

With rural craft demonstrations, arts and craft activities for kids, falconry, sheep shearing (Saturday only), blacksmith demonstrations (Sunday only), forest school fun, and lots of tasty food stalls.

Please note that parking is limited at Forty Hall so you are advised to travel by public transport if possible. There is more information on how to the get to the Farm on our Contact Us page here. Unfortunately, there will not be a shuttle bus running from Capel Manor College as has previously been advertised.

Please also note that we’re a working Farm and it might be muddy if it’s been raining. Wellies are recommended!
The Farm will be open from 11am – 4pm on both days, with final entry at 3.45pm. Pay on the door: £5 adults, £2 children. Free for under 3yrs.
